Assassin's Creed Shadows staff reportedly pushed Ubisoft to delay game for months
Ubisoft staff asked bosses over the course of several months to delay Assassin’s Creed Shadows, a new report has claimed, as the need for further time became clear.
“While the announcement was somewhat of a shock publicly, internally, it was expected and desperately needed,” Insider Gaming writes, based on the accounts of seven developers working on the project.
The report cites a need for Shadows’ developers to be given additional development time to address bugs and better incorporate recent “tweaks” to gameplay mechanics based on playtests and mock reviews (a standard practice where external consultants size-up projects before copies are given to press).

Nvidia boss Jensen Huang has discussed the advantages of AI, and said it was now a key component for the advancement of graphical capabilities.
“We can’t do computer graphics anymore without artificial intelligence,” Huang said, speaking recently at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology conference (via SeekingAlpha).
“We compute one pixel, we infer the other 32. I mean, it’s incredible,” Huang continued. “And so we hallucinate, if you will, the other 32, and it looks temporally stable, it looks photorealistic, and the image quality is incredible, the performance is incredible.”

Yesterday, Larian released Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC. This patch sorts out some lingering bugs and adds a number of new features to the game, including additional evil ending cinematics (more on those in a moment).
This patch also added official mod support to the PC version of the game, with the aim to get this patch onto consoles and Mac sometime next month.
